Institute of Nursing of the U.C.A. was started in the year 1993. This provides a three year Diploma Course in General Nursing and Midwifery. Twenty girls are admitted every year to the course. The minimum educational qualification shall be a pass in standard twelve or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. Girls between the age of 17 and 25 are only eligible for this course. This course is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives Council.
FACULTY
Qualified and experienced teaching staff are in the faculty.
PRACTICAL TRAINING
Practical training is given at Sundaram Medical Foundation, Govt. Institute of Mental Health, Kanchi Kamakoti Childs Trust Hospital, Institute of Cardio Vascular Diseases of Madras Medical Mission and other hospitals at Chennai. The students are exposed to the most modern facilities in these hospitals.
HOSTEL
All students are provided accommodation in the hostel. They are looked after by a Warden.
